Cabinet dimensions (W × H × D) from the manufacturer specifications of the machines we sell, as of October 25, 2026. Each product page lists its own dimensions.
Every product page lists that machine’s own cabinet dimensions in its specification table, so once you have a shortlist, check each model against your space.
Will it fit through the door?
A standard US interior door opening is about 32 inches wide, and many commercial doors are 36 inches. Compare the machine’s depth as well as its width: a machine is usually wheeled in on a dolly, and it may have to pass through the door sideways, so the narrower of width and depth is the figure that has to clear the opening. Remember the height too: doorways are typically 80 inches, and most machines are around 72 inches, but a machine on a dolly is taller than the machine alone.
If a cabinet is too wide for a door, the options are a narrower model such as a slim snack machine, a compact combo or a small vending machine, or removing the door from its hinges during installation.
Space to plan around the machine
- Ventilation. Refrigerated and frozen machines need an air gap behind the cabinet so the compressor can shed heat. The manufacturer’s installation guide gives the distance; do not push a refrigerated machine flush against a wall.
- Door swing. Glass-front machines open at the front for loading, and the door needs room to swing fully open.
- Customer space. Leave room in front of the machine for someone to stand and use it, and keep the path clear under your building’s accessibility rules.
- Power. Most machines need a standard 115 V outlet; the amperage is in each specification table. Give the machine its own outlet rather than a power strip.
- Floor. A loaded full-size machine is heavy. Place it on a level, solid floor, and adjust the leveling feet so the door seals and the product drops cleanly.
Getting the machine to its spot
We ship by crated LTL freight with liftgate delivery to the curb, for a flat $150 per order to any US address, typically 7-10 business days after dispatch. Inside delivery and placement are not included; plan how the machine will get from the curb to its final position: a pallet jack or appliance dolly, a clear route and, for stairs, professional movers. Our guide to vending machine freight delivery covers inspection and signing for the delivery.
Choosing the right size
Size follows traffic. A small office or waiting room rarely needs more than a compact machine; a busy break room or plant floor needs a full-size cabinet or two machines, so it does not run out between restocking visits. The Machine Finder matches machines to your location, and which vending machine should you buy compares the types.
Frequently asked questions
How tall is a vending machine?
Most full-size machines are about 72 inches tall; see the height column above for each type’s exact range.
How wide is a standard vending machine?
Full-size snack, drink and combo machines are typically 29-41 inches wide. The width column shows the range for each type in our catalog.
What is the smallest vending machine?
Countertop and compact machines: see the small vending machines category and the first row of the table.
Will a vending machine fit through a 32-inch door?
Many will, because the machine can pass through on its narrower side. Compare the smaller of the machine’s width and depth with the door opening, and choose a slim or compact model if neither clears.
How much does a vending machine weigh?
Most full-size machines weigh about 450-850 lb empty; countertop machines and small smart coolers weigh far less. See our vending machine weight guide for a live table by machine type.
